Pump-priming projects

We offer up to two-year pump-priming projects to be co-supervised by one cardiovascular and one non-cardiovascular PI with synergistic expertise, which map to one of the focus areas of the Accelerator Award.

These will cover the salary for a technician or research assistant, and project consumables. Projects must have a clear line of sight to an externally funded award, for example, a BHF or MRC project grant.

The goal of this pump-priming funding is to provide critical missing items of preliminary data that are needed to render an external interdisciplinary application competitive.

A call for project proposals will be announced in November 2019.
